A skid-mounted compressor is a compressor unit that is mounted on a common base that can be easily moved and installed. Due to their simplicity of construction (foundationless skid-mounted compressors do not even require a concrete foundation to operate stably) and small footprint, skid-mounted compressors are ideally suited for applications that require frequent movement or quick installation, and can be used in virtually any site, including the petrochemical industry, shipboard, vehicle-mounted equipment, offshore platforms, and more. For example, in the petroleum industry, skid-mounted compressors are widely used in natural gas processing and transportation, ensuring the efficiency and safety of fluid handling.

When the process parameters change or the compressor unit needs to be replaced as a whole, the flat bottom surface and uniform foot arrangement make it easier for the new equipment to meet the existing site conditions and foundation structure form.
