Working Principle

In an optimal air compression scenario, the power required for single-stage compression aligns with the combined power needed for multiple stages. However, real-world operations demand higher power due to factors such as transmission power loss, friction in bearings, and cooling effects from liquid viscosity. By adeptly minimizing the compression ratio at each stage, multi-stage compression can require considerably less power than single-stage compression, thereby boosting efficiency and curtailing superfluous energy consumption.

The advanced two-stage screw air compressor is equipped with a dual rotary screw mechanism. Each stage is comprised of an active screw and a passive screw, where the active screw propels the passive screw through an external power transfer system. The first stage is designed with a low-pressure screw assembly, while the second stage is built with a high-pressure screw assembly. Sealing air films enveloping each screw facilitate the compression sequence through three distinct phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.

First stage compression: In the initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor, a low-pressure screw assembly is utilized. The gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber via the suction valve, where it is compressed as the rotor spins at high velocity. This compressed gas is then forwarded to the second stage for further compression.

Second stage compression: At the second stage, the gas enters a more confined screw space, experiencing elevated pressures and temperatures. The exhaust valve subsequently opens, expelling the high-pressure gases from the system, thereby completing the compression process.

Initially, natural air flows through the air filter and combines with a trace of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. This blend is compressed to an intermediate pressure and then significantly cooled via contact with oil mist within the cooling channel. The cooled gas enters the second-stage rotor, where it undergoes secondary compression to achieve the final exhaust pressure. This entire cycle concludes as the compressed gas is released through the exhaust valve, culminating the comprehensive air compression cycle.
