Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum of the power needed for multi-stage compression. However, actual compression sees increased working power due to coupling power loss, bearing friction, and cooling effects from liquid viscosity. Reducing the compression ratio at each stage minimizes useless power, making the total power for multi-stage compression less than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor consists of a two-stage rotary screw system. Each stage features an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive screw via an external power transmission. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage uses a high-pressure rate screw group. A sealing air film surrounds each screw, allowing gas compression through suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First stage compression: The initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor utilizes a low-pressure rate screw group to squeeze the gas. The gas enters the screw compression chamber via the suction valve, where it is progressively compressed and transferred to the second stage through the screw rotor's high-speed rotation.
Second stage compression: The second stage screw group compresses the gas within a tighter space at higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens to discharge high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air enters the first compression stage through the air filter, mixing with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This combination compresses the gas to interstage pressure. The compressed gas then passes through a cooling channel, encountering oil mist that significantly reduces its temperature. The cooled gas enters the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure, culminating in discharge through the exhaust valve, completing the entire compression process.
