Working Principle
In an optimal air compression process, the energy required for single-stage pressure transmission matches the combined effort needed for multi-stage compression. Yet, real-world applications often demand more working power due to inefficiencies such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effects caused by liquid viscosity. By lowering the compression ratio at each stage, the overall power necessary for multi-stage compression becomes less than that for single-stage compression, effectively mitigating these losses.
The two-stage screw air compressor boasts a sophisticated dual-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each compression stage includes both an active and a passive screw. The active screw propels the passive screw via an external power transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film that compresses the gas through three critical phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: The initial compression phase employs a low-pressure rate screw group to effectively compress the gas. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through a suction valve, where it is gradually compacted and then transferred to the second stage by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor.
Second Stage Compression: During this phase, the gas enters a narrower screw chamber, undergoing compression at significantly higher temperatures and pressures. The high-pressure gases are then released from the system as the exhaust valve opens, completing the cycle.
Natural air is thoroughly filtered before being drawn into the first compression stage, where it mixes with a precise amount of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure and subsequently passes through a cooling channel, where it encounters a substantial amount of oil mist, dramatically lowering its temperature. The cooled gas then enters the second-stage rotor for further compression and is finally expelled through the exhaust valve, thereby completing the entire compression process.
