Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power necessary for single-stage pressure transmission equals the combined power needed for multi-stage compression. However, in real-world scenarios, actual working power increases due to factors such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction coefficient, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. To mitigate this, reducing the compression ratio at each stage can decrease the total power required for multi-stage compression, making it more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor comprises a two-stage rotary screw mechanism, each stage featuring an active and a passive screw. The active screw powers the passive screw via an external transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. Each screw is surrounded by a sealing air film. As the screws rotate, gas undergoes compression through three phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: The initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor employs a low-pressure rate screw group. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through the suction valve, where it is progressively compressed by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, and then transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second stage, the gas enters a more confined screw space, where it is subjected to higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, expelling the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is first drawn into the compressor through the air filter and mixed with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure. The compressed gas is then cooled in the cooling channel, where it contacts a large amount of oil mist, significantly reducing its temperature. The cooled, compressed gas enters the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure. The entire process concludes with the gas being discharged through the exhaust valve.
