Working Principle
In the air compression journey, achieving peak efficiency in single-stage compression demands that the power used should be equal to the collective effort of multi-stage compression. However, real-world scenarios often encounter inefficiencies such as coupling power loss, bearing friction, and cooling liquid viscosity that lead to elevated power usage. Multi-stage compression, by lowering the compression ratio at each stage, can significantly curb these inefficiencies, resulting in a notably lower total power requirement compared to single-stage compression.
Introducing our groundbreaking two-stage screw air compressor, featuring a dual-stage rotary screw mechanism with each stage equipped with an active and a passive screw. The active screw propels the passive screw via an external power source. The first stage incorporates a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage employs a high-pressure rate screw group. Enveloping each screw is a sealing air film, which compresses the gas through three distinct phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: The journey begins with the low-pressure rate screw group compressing the gas. Gas enters the compression chamber via a suction valve, where it is progressively compressed and transferred to the second stage under the vigorous rotation of the screw rotor.
Second Stage Compression: In this phase, the gas transitions into a narrower screw space, undergoing compression at elevated temperatures and pressures. Subsequently, the high-pressure gases are expelled from the system as the exhaust valve opens, thereby concluding the compression cycle.
The process initiates with natural air being meticulously filtered before entering the initial compression stage, where it merges with a minor amount of lubricating oil. This blend is compressed to interstage pressure and navigates through a cooling channel, encountering a substantial amount of oil mist which drastically lowers its temperature. The cooled gas then advances to the second stage for further compression, ultimately being expelled through the exhaust valve, thus completing the comprehensive compression sequence.
Water-cooled compressors leverage the powerful cooling capabilities of water, resulting in superior lubrication and prolonged lifespan of friction-prone components. As cooling water circulates, it effectively cleans internal parts and dissipates heat from both the cylinder and compressed gas.
