Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the energy required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the cumulative energy needed for multi-stage compression. However, in real-world applications, factors such as coupling transmission losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of viscosity increase the actual operational power needed. By reducing the compression ratio at each stage, we can significantly lower the overall power consumption in multi-stage compression, making it more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor from Sanzhi (Henan) Compressor Co., Ltd. is engineered with a dual-stage rotary screw system, featuring active and passive screws at each stage. The active screw propels the passive screw through an external power mechanism, optimizing performance. The first stage uses a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage employs a high-pressure rate screw group, each enveloped by a sealing air film. During operation, the air undergoes three crucial processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: In the initial phase of the two-stage screw air compressor, a low-pressure rate screw group compresses the gas between the screws. The gas is drawn into the compression chamber via the suction valve. As the screw rotor spins at high speed, the gas is gradually compressed and transported to the next stage, ensuring optimal efficiency.
Second Stage Compression: During this stage, the gas enters a more confined screw space, leading to elevated temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gases from the system, thus completing the second stage of compression.
Natural air is initially drawn into the first compression stage through an air filter, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil. This mixture is compressed to an interstage pressure before passing through a cooling channel, where significant oil mist substantially reduces its temperature. The cooled gas then enters the second-stage rotor for further compression, achieving the final exhaust pressure. Ultimately, the compressor expels the gas through the exhaust valve, completing the entire compression cycle with remarkable efficiency.
