Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum total needed for multi-stage compression. However, in reality, the actual working power increases due to factors like coupling power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. By reducing the compression ratio of each stage, we can minimize this useless power, making the total power required for multi-stage compression less than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor features a sophisticated two-stage rotary screw design. Each stage includes an active screw and a passive screw, where the active screw propels the passive one through an external power transmission mechanism. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. Encircling each screw is a sealing air film, ensuring that as the screws rotate, the gas is efficiently compressed through three distinct phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First stage compression: During the initial stage, a low-pressure rate screw group compresses the gas. The gas enters the screw compression chamber via the suction valve and, under the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, gets gradually squeezed out and transferred to the second compression stage.
Second stage compression: At this stage, the gas enters an even tighter screw space where it is compressed at higher temperatures and pressures. Upon reaching this stage, the exhaust valve opens, expelling the high-pressure gas from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first compression stage through an air filter, mixing with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixed gas is simultaneously compressed to the interstage pressure. The resultant compressed gas then passes through the cooling channel, contacting a large amount of oil mist, significantly lowering its temperature. This cooled compressed gas then enters the second stage rotor for further compression, reaching the final exhaust pressure. The entire compression process concludes as the gas is discharged through the exhaust valve.
