In the realm of air compression, while theoretical power requirements for single-stage transmission match those of multi-stage compression, real-world factors such as coupling power loss, bearing friction, and liquid viscosity cooling effects cause actual working power to rise. By minimizing the compression ratio at each stage, the aggregate power required for multi-stage compression is reduced compared to single-stage compression, leading to a notable decrease in power consumption.
The two-stage screw air compressor showcases a dual rotary screw mechanism. Both stages feature an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive one through an external power transfer system. The first stage is equipped with a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage is endowed with a high-pressure screw group. A sealing air film encapsulates each screw. As the screws rotate, the gas undergoes suction, pressurization, and exhaust, ensuring optimal compression efficiency.
First Stage Compression: In the initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor, a low-pressure screw group compresses the gas between the screws. The gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber via the suction valve. The high-speed rotation of the screw rotor gradually compresses the gas, which is then passed on to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: Within the second stage screw group, the gas enters a more confined screw space for further compression at elevated temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gas from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first compression stage through an air filter, where it blends with a small volume of lubricating oil. This mixture undergoes compression to an intermediate pressure. The compressed gas then proceeds to a cooling channel, encountering a significant quantity of oil mist, which substantially reduces its temperature. The cooled, compressed gas moves into the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure, completing the entire compression cycle before discharge through the exhaust valve.
Water-cooled compressors, leveraging water as the cooling medium, offer significant advantages.
