In an ideal air compression scenario, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission equals the collective power required for multi-stage compression. However, in reality, higher power demands arise due to factors such as transmission power loss, bearing friction, and liquid viscosity cooling effects. By minimizing the compression ratio at each stage, the total power required for multi-stage compression can be significantly lower than that of single-stage compression, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing unnecessary power consumption.
The two-stage screw air compressor boasts a sophisticated dual rotary screw system. Each stage features an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive screw via an external power transmission mechanism. The first stage employs a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure screw group. Sealing air films around each screw facilitate the compression process through three critical phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First stage compression: The initial stage in the two-stage screw air compressor involves a low-pressure screw group. Here, gas enters the screw compression chamber via the suction valve and undergoes compression as the screw rotor spins at high speed. The compressed gas is then transferred to the second stage for further compression.
