Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the power demand for single-stage pressure transmission would match the cumulative requirement for multi-stage compression. However, actual working conditions reveal increased power usage due to inefficiencies such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity. By strategically reducing the compression ratio at each stage, the aggregate power required for multi-stage compression can be optimized to be lower than that for single-stage compression, thus effectively minimizing these energy losses.
The two-stage screw air compressor is engineered with a dual-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage incorporates an active and a passive screw, wherein the active screw propels the passive screw via an external power transmission device. The first stage features a low-pressure rate screw assembly, while the second stage is equipped with a high-pressure rate screw assembly. Enclosed in a sealing air film, these screws rotate, compressing gas through three critical stages: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: The initial stage employs a low-pressure rate screw assembly to compress the gas between them. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through the suction valve. Due to the vigorous rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is progressively compressed and transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: Upon entering the second stage, the gas is confined within a more compact screw space, where it undergoes compression at elevated temperatures and pressures. Subsequently, the exhaust valve releases the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is meticulously filtered before entering the first compression stage, where it mixes with a controlled amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This blend is compressed to the interstage pressure level. The compressed gas then navigates through a cooling channel, engaging with a substantial volume of oil mist that significantly reduces its temperature. The cooled gas subsequently enters the second-stage rotor, undergoes additional compression, and is finally expelled through the exhaust valve, completing the comprehensive compression cycle.
Water-cooled compressors magnificently harness the power of water as a cooling medium. This sophisticated system not only enhances lubrication by meticulously cleaning internal components but also significantly extends the lifespan of friction-prone parts. Throughout operation, the cooling water masterfully dissipates heat from both the cylinder and compressed gas, dramatically decreasing exhaust temperature and power consumption, thereby slashing operational costs.
