In an ideal air compression scenario, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the cumulative power for multi-stage compression. However, real-world operations face increased power demand due to coupling transmission losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity. To optimize efficiency, it is essential to minimize each stage's compression ratio, ensuring that the total power needed for multi-stage compression remains lower than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor showcases a dual rotary screw mechanism, featuring both active and passive screws. Driven by an external transmission, the active screw propels the passive screw. The first stage employs a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure screw group. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film, enabling gas compression through sequential cycles of suction, pressurization, and exhaust as the screws rotate.
First Stage Compression: In this initial phase, the low-pressure screw group begins compressing the gas. Gas enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve, and the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor further compresses the gas, transferring it to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: During the second stage, gas enters a more confined screw space, undergoing compression at elevated temperatures and pressures. Subsequently, the exhaust valve opens, releasing the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first stage through an air filter, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber.
