Working Principle

In an optimal air compression environment, the energy required for single-stage pressure transmission is equivalent to the cumulative energy needed for multi-stage compression. However, real-world scenarios introduce higher energy demands due to factors like transmission power losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity. By lowering the compression ratio at each stage, the overall energy required for multi-stage compression can be significantly reduced compared to single-stage compression, thereby maximizing efficiency and minimizing excess energy consumption.

The two-stage screw air compressor is engineered with a cutting-edge dual rotary screw system. Each compression stage includes an active and a passive screw, with the active screw propelling the passive screw through an external power transmission mechanism. The first stage comprises a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage involves a high-pressure screw group. Air sealing films around each screw facilitate the compression process across three critical phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.

First stage compression: The initial phase of the two-stage screw air compressor features a low-pressure screw group. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber via the suction valve and is compressed as the screw rotor spins at high velocity. The compressed gas is then routed to the second stage for further compression.

Second stage compression: During this phase, the gas enters a more confined screw space, subjected to higher pressures and temperatures. The exhaust valve subsequently opens to release the high-pressure gases from the system, thus completing the compression process.

Natural air is initially filtered and then mixed with a small amount of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure and is significantly cooled through interaction with oil mist in the cooling channel. The cooled gas then moves to the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure. The process concludes with the expulsion of the compressed gas through the exhaust valve, thereby completing the air compression cycle.
