Working Principle
During the ideal air compression process, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission matches the sum needed for multiple-stage compression. However, due to factors like coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and liquid viscosity cooling effects, the actual working power is higher. By minimizing the compression ratio of each stage, power inefficiencies are reduced, making the total power for multi-stage compression less than that of single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor is an advanced system consisting of a two-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage features an active screw that drives a passive screw via an external power transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage uses a high-pressure screw group. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film. As the screws rotate, the gas is subjected to three processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust, resulting in efficient compression.
First Stage Compression: The first stage of the two-stage screw air compressor utilizes a low-pressure screw group to compress gas. Gas enters the compression chamber through the suction valve and is squeezed by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, then transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second stage screw group, the gas is compressed further within a tighter screw space, achieving higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens to release the high-pressure gases from the system, completing the compression.
Natural air is drawn through the air filter into the first compression stage, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil. This mixture is compressed to an interstage pressure. The gas then enters the cooling channel and interacts with a large amount of oil mist, significantly reducing its temperature. Cooled and compressed, the gas moves to the second-stage rotor for final compression to the ultimate exhaust pressure. The process culminates as the fully compressed gas exits through the exhaust valve, finalizing the compression cycle.
