Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equates to the combined power necessary for multi-stage compression. However, real-world applications often see increased actual working power due to factors like coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. By reducing the compression ratio at each stage, one can significantly lower the total power required for multi-stage compression, making it more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor boasts a sophisticated two-stage rotary screw mechanism, with each stage featuring an active and a passive screw. The active screw drives the passive screw via an external transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film. As the screws rotate, gas undergoes three phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: The initial phase of the two-stage screw air compressor uses a low-pressure rate screw group. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through the suction valve, where it is incrementally compressed by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor before being transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second phase, the gas enters a more confined screw space and is subjected to higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is initially drawn into the compressor through the air filter and mixed with a minimal amount of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure. The compressed gas then flows through the cooling channel, encountering substantial oil mist, which significantly reduces its temperature. The cooled, compressed gas then enters the second-stage rotor for additional compression to the final exhaust pressure. The entire process culminates with the gas being discharged through the exhaust valve.
