Working Principle

In a perfect world of air compression, the power necessary for single-stage pressure transmission equals the cumulative power required for multi-stage compression. However, reality introduces complexities like coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity, which increase the actual working power. To maximize efficiency and reduce power wastage, decreasing the compression ratio at each stage ensures that the total power needed for multi-stage compression is less than that for single-stage compression.

The two-stage screw air compressor boasts an innovative dual-stage rotary screw mechanism, each equipped with an active and a passive screw. The active screw, driven by an external transmission device, propels the passive screw. The first stage features a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage comprises a high-pressure rate screw group. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film, facilitating gas compression through the stages of suction, pressurization, and exhaust as they rotate.

First Stage Compression: Leveraging a low-pressure rate screw group, the gas undergoes initial compression. It enters the screw compression chamber via the suction valve, where the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor compresses the gas further, preparing it for transfer to the second stage.

Second Stage Compression: Within this stage, the gas is channeled into a tighter screw space where it experiences higher temperature and pressure. The exhaust valve subsequently opens, allowing the release of the high-pressure gases from the system.

Natural air is initially drawn into the first stage through an air filter, merging with a small amount of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. The gas is compressed to interstage pressure and then cooled in the cooling channel as it encounters oil mist. This cooling substantially reduces the gas temperature before it proceeds to the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure. The entire compression process culminates as the compressor discharges the high-pressure gas through the exhaust valve.
