However, real-world operations face increased power demand due to coupling transmission losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity. To achieve peak efficiency, it is crucial to minimize each stage's compression ratio, ensuring the overall power demand for multi-stage compression remains below that of single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor features a sophisticated dual rotary screw mechanism, with both active and passive screws. Driven by an external transmission, the active screw propels the passive screw in unison. The first stage incorporates a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage employs a high-pressure screw group. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film, enabling efficient gas compression through a sequence of suction, pressurization, and exhaust cycles as the screws rotate.
