Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the power required for single-stage compression is equal to the power required for multi-stage compression. However, real-world inefficiencies such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity lead to higher actual working power. By reducing the compression ratio at each stage, the total power necessary for multi-stage compression is minimized compared to single-stage compression. This approach effectively mitigates these inefficiencies, resulting in significant energy savings.
The two-stage screw air compressor is engineered with a dual-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage comprises an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive screw via an external power transmission device. The first stage incorporates a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. A sealing air film encases each screw, facilitating gas compression through three phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: This initial phase uses a low-pressure rate screw group to compress the gas. The gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through a suction valve, where it undergoes progressive compression and is then transferred to the second stage by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor.
Second Stage Compression: During this phase, the gas enters a tighter screw space, experiencing compression at elevated temperatures and pressures. The high-pressure gases are subsequently expelled from the system as the exhaust valve opens, completing the second stage of the compression process.
Natural air is filtered before entering the first compression stage, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure and passes through a cooling channel, encountering a substantial amount of oil mist to significantly reduce its temperature. The cooled gas then proceeds to the second-stage rotor for further compression and is ultimately expelled through the exhaust valve, finalizing the entire air compression process.

As the cooling water circulates, it effectively cleans internal parts and dissipates heat from both the cylinder and compressed gas.
