Working Principle
In the ideal scenario of air compression, the energy required for single-stage pressure transmission equates to the cumulative energy needed for multi-stage compression. In reality, due to factors such as coupling transmission losses, bearing friction, and the viscosity's cooling effect, the actual operational power increases. By minimizing the compression ratio at each stage, we can lower the overall power consumption in multi-stage compression, making it more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor is engineered with a dual-stage rotary screw system, where each stage is equipped with both an active and passive screw. The active screw drives the passive screw with the help of an external power source. This innovative design employs a low-pressure rate screw group for the initial stage and transitions to a high-pressure rate screw group in the second stage. Each screw is encased in a sealing air film to optimize efficiency. As the screws rotate, the air undergoes a comprehensive transformation through three pivotal processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: Within the initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor, a specialized low-pressure rate screw group works diligently to compress the gas, which is drawn into the compression chamber via the suction valve. The high-speed rotation of the screw rotor compresses the gas, preparing it for the subsequent stage.
Second Stage Compression: As the gas progresses into this stage, it encounters a more confined screw space, significantly elevating its temperature and pressure. The exhaust valve opens strategically to release the high-pressure gases efficiently from the system, marking the culmination of the compression process.
Natural air is meticulously drawn into the first compression stage through an air filter, where it harmoniously blends with a precise amount of lubricating oil. This mixture is adeptly compressed to an interstage pressure. Post-compression, the gas journeys through a cooling channel, encountering a substantial oil mist that dramatically lowers its temperature. This cooled gas is then propelled into the second-stage rotor, undergoing further compression to achieve the desired final exhaust pressure. Ultimately, the compressor expertly expels the gas through the exhaust valve, flawlessly completing the entire compression cycle.
