Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission is equivalent to the sum of the power needed for multi-stage compression. Nevertheless, real-world conditions necessitate higher power due to factors like transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity. By minimizing the compression ratio at each stage, multi-stage compression becomes significantly more efficient, requiring much less power than single-stage compression and thus reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
The two-stage screw air compressor showcases a refined dual rotary screw mechanism. Each stage includes an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive one via an external power transmission system. The first stage features a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure screw group. Sealing air films around each screw enhance the compression process through three essential phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First stage compression: In the two-stage screw air compressor, the initial stage involves a low-pressure screw group. Gas enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve and is compressed as the screw rotor spins rapidly. The compressed gas is then forwarded to the second stage for further compression.
