Working Principle

In the realm of ideal air compression, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission perfectly matches the cumulative power required for multi-stage compression. However, in the real-world scenario, various factors such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect influenced by liquid viscosity contribute to an increase in actual working power. To enhance efficiency and minimize unnecessary power consumption, it's essential to lower the compression ratio at each stage. This strategic reduction ensures that the overall power demand for multi-stage compression is significantly less than that for single-stage compression.

The innovative two-stage screw air compressor is ingeniously designed with a dual rotary screw mechanism. Each stage features both an active and a passive screw, where the active screw drives its counterpart via an external power transmission system. The compressor's initial stage employs a low-pressure rate screw assembly, while the subsequent stage operates with a high-pressure rate screw assembly. Encircling each screw is a protective sealing air film, and as they rotate, the gas undergoes a seamless transformation through three pivotal phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust. This design maximizes efficiency and optimizes air compression.

First stage compression: The two-stage screw air compressor initiates its process with a low-pressure rate screw assembly, effectively squeezing the gas between its components. Upon entering the screw compression chamber through the suction valve, the gas is subjected to the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor. This motion gradually expels and transfers the compressed gas towards the second stage, setting the foundation for advanced compression.

Second stage compression: Upon reaching the second stage screw assembly, the gas is channeled into a more confined screw space where it undergoes further compression at elevated temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, efficiently expelling the high-pressure gases from the system, completing the advanced compression cycle.

Natural air, meticulously filtered, enters the compression system's first stage through the air filter. Within the compression chamber, it mingles with a precise amount of lubricating oil, creating a mixture that undergoes initial compression to reach interstage pressure. This compressed mixture traverses the cooling channel, encountering substantial oil mist, which significantly diminishes its temperature. This cooling phase prepares the gas for its journey into the second-stage rotor. Here, it undergoes further compression, achieving the ultimate exhaust pressure. The entire process culminates as the fully compressed gas is expelled via the exhaust valve, completing the comprehensive compression sequence.
