Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum of the power needed for multi-stage compression. However, in real-world scenarios, actual working power increases due to factors such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. Consequently, lowering the compression ratio for each stage can reduce unnecessary power, ensuring that the total power required for multi-stage compression is less than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor features a two-stage rotary screw compressor. Each stage includes an active screw and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive screw via an external power transmission device. The first stage uses a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage employs a high-pressure rate screw group. Each screw is surrounded by a sealing air film. During rotation, the gas undergoes compression through three stages: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: Utilizing a low-pressure rate screw group, the first stage of the two-stage screw air compressor compresses the gas. The gas enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve. With the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is gradually squeezed and transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second stage, the gas enters a more confined screw space and undergoes compression at higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first compression stage via the air filter, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil. This mixed gas is compressed to interstage pressure and then enters the cooling channel, encountering a substantial amount of oil mist to significantly reduce its temperature. The cooled, compressed gas moves into the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure. The entire compression process concludes with the gas being discharged through the exhaust valve.
Water-cooled compressors leverage water as a cooling medium to deliver multiple benefits. As the cooling water circulates within the air compressor, it effectively cleans, lubricates, and extends the lifespan of frictional components. During operation, the cooling water absorbs heat from the cylinder and compressed gas, significantly lowering exhaust temperatures and reducing power consumption, ultimately minimizing operating costs. However, it's crucial to manage the scaling issues that can arise in the water cooling system.
1) High efficiency of PM motor: The permanent magnet (PM) motor boasts a broader constant torque range and a superior weak magnetic range. It outperforms regular motors by 20-30% in efficiency. Even when operating away from its rated frequency, the PM motor maintains high efficiency, ensuring optimal performance at all times.
2) Motor maintenance-free:With no bearings inside the permanent magnet motor, users can eliminate the costs associated with motor bearing maintenance and replacement.
3) Integrated frequency converter: Utilizing a top-tier frequency system in China, this compressor offers a wide range and high precision in speed regulation. It adjusts according to the user's real-time gas demand, resulting in significant energy savings.
4) No transmission loss: Thanks to the embedded integrated shaft directly connecting the permanent magnet motor and the compressor, the structure is more compact. This design eliminates couplings and other transmission parts, achieving 100% transmission efficiency.
5) Variable frequency start and the soft startof the motor minimize the impact on the power grid and prevent damage to electrical equipment.
6) Reduce energy consumption: The frequency conversion range spans from 25% to 100% (compared to 50% to 100% for ordinary frequency conversions). This results in over 30% energy savings compared to fixed-speed compressors and about 5% more savings than standard variable frequency compressors. The greater the fluctuation in system gas consumption, the more pronounced the energy-saving benefits.
7) Two-stage compression unique air end:Designed with a unique two-stage compression screw mechanism, this air end houses both the first-stage and second-stage compression rotors. These rotors operate directly via gears, achieving optimal linear speeds and enhancing compression efficiency.
8) Internal spray curtain cooling method: The high-energy saving internal spray curtain cooling method provides excellent cooling effects, drastically lowers the temperature of compressed air, and approaches isothermal compression. It also reduces pressure loss between stages, lowers the compression ratio, and boosts compression efficiency.
9) Reduce internal leakage:By adopting two-stage compression, the compression ratio for each stage is reduced, minimizing internal leakage from high to low pressure ends and improving volumetric efficiency.
10) Noise reduction:Two-stage compression also reduces the compression ratio, significantly cutting down on overall noise, especially during unloading phases.
