Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the energy required for single-stage pressure transmission matches the total energy needed for multi-stage compression. However, due to factors like coupling transmission losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of viscosity, the actual operational power increases. By reducing the compression ratio at each stage, overall power consumption in multi-stage compression can be significantly lowered, making it far more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor boasts a brilliant dual-stage rotary screw system, incorporating both active and passive screws at each stage. The active screw propels the passive screw through an external power mechanism. In the first stage, a low-pressure rate screw assembly is utilized, while the second stage employs a high-pressure rate screw assembly. Each screw is encased in a sealing air film. During operation, air undergoes three critical processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: Initially, the two-stage screw air compressor's low-pressure rate screw assembly compresses the gas between the screws. The gas is drawn into the compression chamber through the suction valve. As the screw rotor rotates at high speed, the gas is progressively compressed and transferred to the next stage.
Second Stage Compression: In this phase, the gas enters a more confined screw space, facing increased temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve subsequently opens to discharge the high-pressure gases from the system, completing the compression process.
Natural air is drawn into the first compression stage through an air filter, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil. This mixture is compressed to an intermediate pressure. The compressed gas then travels through a cooling channel, encountering a significant oil mist that dramatically reduces its temperature. This cooled gas then enters the second-stage rotor for further compression, achieving the final exhaust pressure. Finally, the compressor expels the gas through the exhaust valve, concluding the intricate compression cycle.
