Detailed Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum required for multi-stage compression. Yet, in real-world scenarios, actual working power increases due to the power loss from coupling transmission, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity, among other factors. By reducing the compression ratio at each stage, the overall power required for multi-stage compression can be minimized, making it more efficient than single-stage compression.
The innovative two-stage screw air compressor integrates a sophisticated two-stage rotary screw setup. Each stage features an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive screw via an external power transmission device. The first stage utilizes a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage operates with a high-pressure rate screw group. Surrounding each screw is a sealing air film. During operation, the gas undergoes three pivotal processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: In the initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor, a low-pressure rate screw group compresses the gas. The gas enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve. Here, the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor gradually squeezes out the gas, transferring it to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: The second stage screw group compresses the gas in a tighter screw space at higher temperature and pressure. Upon reaching the desired compression, the exhaust valve opens, expelling the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air enters the first compression stage via the air filter, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure.
