Working Principle

In the dynamic world of air compression, the ultimate goal is to achieve a power requirement for single-stage pressure transmission that matches the combined power needed for multi-stage compression. However, real-world challenges such as coupling power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling impact due to liquid viscosity increase the actual working power. To counteract these inefficiencies, reducing the compression ratio at each stage becomes a pivotal strategy. This technique ensures that the total power required for multi-stage compression is less than that of a traditional single-stage system, resulting in enhanced performance and minimized energy waste.

This groundbreaking two-stage screw air compressor is engineered with an intricate design, featuring two rotary screw compressors. Each is equipped with an active and passive screw, where the active screw gains momentum from an external power transmission device, driving the passive screw. At its core, the initial stage utilizes a low-pressure rate screw group, while the subsequent stage operates with a high-pressure rate version. A sealing air film surrounds each screw, optimizing the rotation process and ensuring that gas compression occurs through a flawless cycle of suction, pressurization, and exhaust, guaranteeing superior efficiency and performance.

First stage compression: In this crucial initial phase, the two-stage screw air compressor deploys a low-pressure rate screw group to proficiently compress the gas. As the gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through the suction valve, the high-speed screw rotor rotates to gradually compress and propel it onward to the second stage, establishing a solid foundation for efficient compression.

Second stage compression: Advancing to the second stage, the gas is introduced to a more confined screw space, where it is subjected to heightened temperature and pressure. As compression peaks, the exhaust valve is activated, seamlessly releasing high-pressure gas and sustaining system efficiency.

Purified natural air, filtered through an air filter, embarks on its initial journey into the first compression stage, blending with a trace of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure. The resulting compressed gas then travels through the cooling channel, interacting with a generous oil mist to substantially reduce its temperature. The cooled, compressed gas then proceeds to the second-stage rotor, where it undergoes a second round of compression, reaching the final exhaust pressure. Completing its journey, the gas exits the compressor through the exhaust valve, resulting in a flawlessly executed compression process.
