In the ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission is similar to the combined power needed for multi-stage compression. However, in real-world applications, actual working power increases due to coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. To mitigate these inefficiencies, reducing the compression ratio at each stage can significantly lower the total power required for multi-stage compression. This optimization makes multi-stage compression more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor is meticulously engineered with an advanced two-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage consists of an active and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive screw via an external transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure screw set, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure screw set. A sealing air film envelops each screw. As the screws rotate, gas is efficiently compressed through three distinct phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: In the initial phase, the two-stage screw air compressor employs a low-pressure screw set. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber via the suction valve, where it undergoes incremental compression by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor. This partially compressed gas is then transferred to the second stage for further processing.
Second Stage Compression: During the second phase, the gas enters a more confined screw space, where it is subjected to higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gas from the system, completing the compression cycle with precision.
