Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum of the power required for multi-stage compression. However, in real-world scenarios, the actual working power is higher due to factors such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction coefficients, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. To minimize these energy losses, reducing the compression ratio at each stage results in the total power required for multi-stage compression being less than that of single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor features a sophisticated design composed of a dual rotary screw compressor system. Each stage comprises an active screw and a passive screw; the active screw drives the passive screw through an external power transmission mechanism. In the first stage, low-pressure rate screw groups are utilized, while the second stage employs high-pressure rate screw groups. Surrounding each screw is a sealing air film which facilitates the compression of gas through three critical processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: The initial stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group that compresses the gas as it enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve. Under the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is progressively compressed and then transferred to the subsequent stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second stage, the gas is admitted into a tighter screw space where it undergoes further compression at higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve opens to expel the high-pressure gases from the system, completing the compression cycle.
Operational Excellence: Natural air is first filtered and then enters the initial compression stage where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil. This mixture is compressed to the interstage pressure. The compressed gas then flows through a cooling channel, encountering a substantial oil mist that significantly reduces its temperature. Once cooled, the gas moves into the second-stage rotor for additional compression, achieving the final exhaust pressure. The entire process culminates as the fully compressed gas is discharged through the exhaust valve.
Water-cooled compressors harness the power of water as the cooling medium. As cooling water circulates within the air compressor, it serves a dual purpose: cleaning and lubrication, thus extending the lifespan of friction-wearing parts. During compressor operation, this cooling water absorbs heat from both the cylinder and the compressed gas, significantly reducing exhaust temperature and power consumption, leading to lower operating costs. However, careful attention must be given to prevent scaling within the water cooling system.
1) High Efficiency of PM Motor:Boasting a wide constant torque range and expanded weak magnetic range, the efficiency of the permanent magnet motor surpasses that of regular motors by 20-30%. Remarkably, even when operating away from the rated frequency, the permanent magnet motor maintains its outstanding efficiency, ensuring persistent high performance.
2) Maintenance-Free Motor:The permanent magnet motor is devoid of bearings, eliminating the need for costly motor bearing maintenance and replacement.
3) Integrated Frequency Converter: Equipped with China's premier frequency system, it offers a wide range of speed regulation and high precision. This allows for frequency modulation operation based on the user's actual gas demand, resulting in remarkable energy-saving effects.
4) No Transmission Loss: The compressor features an embedded integrated shaft directly connected to the permanent magnet motor, creating a more compact structure. Absence of coupling and other transmission parts results in 100% transmission efficiency.
5) Variable Frequency Start and Soft Start:This technology significantly mitigates the impact on power grid equipment, preventing damage to electrical components.
6) Reduced Energy Consumption: With a frequency conversion range of 25% to 100% (compared to ordinary frequency conversion of 50% to 100%), this system delivers energy savings exceeding 30% compared to fixed-speed air compressors, and approximately 5% compared to standard variable frequency air compressors. The greater the fluctuation in system gas consumption, the more pronounced the energy-saving effect.
7) Unique Two-Stage Compression Air End:The two-stage compression screw machine's air end is ingeniously designed, integrating the first-stage and second-stage compression rotors within a single casing. These rotors are driven directly through gears, optimizing linear speed for each rotor and enhancing overall compression efficiency.
8) Internal Spray Curtain Cooling Method: Utilizing a high energy-saving internal spray curtain cooling technique, this method offers superior cooling effects, dramatically lowering the temperature of compressed air to near isothermal compression levels. Additionally, it minimizes pressure loss between stages, reduces the compression ratio, and boosts compression efficiency.
9) Reduced Internal Leakage:Adopting two-stage compression reduces the compression ratio for each stage, minimizing internal leakage from the high-pressure end to the low-pressure end, thus improving volumetric efficiency.
10) Noise Reduction:Two-stage compression not only lowers the compression ratio but also significantly diminishes noise levels, with substantial reductions in unloading noise.
