Working Principle
In an ideal scenario, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the combined power needed for multi-stage compression. However, real-world conditions introduce various inefficiencies, such as coupling transmission power loss, the friction coefficient of bearings, and liquid viscosity effects. These factors escalate the actual working power. By minimizing the compression ratio at each stage, the total power required for multi-stage compression is reduced, resulting in greater efficiency compared to single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor operates with a two-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage comprises an active screw and a passive screw, with the active screw driving the passive one via an external power transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. Surrounding each screw is a sealing air film. As the screws rotate, gas undergoes three processes: suction, pressurization, and exhaust, achieving effective compression.
First Stage Compression: During the initial stage, a low-pressure rate screw group compresses the gas, which enters the screw compression chamber through a suction valve. Rapid screw rotor rotation squeezes the gas, gradually transferring it to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In this stage, the gas is compressed further in a tighter screw space, subjected to higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, allowing the removal of high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first stage compression through an air filter, where it mixes with lubricating oil in the compression chamber. The mixed gas is then compressed to interstage pressure. This compressed gas passes through a cooling channel where it interacts with oil mist, significantly reducing its temperature. Subsequently, the cooled compressed gas enters the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure. The entire compression process completes as the gas exits through the exhaust valve.
