Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the energy required for single-stage pressure transmission equates to the combined energy demands of multi-stage compression. Realistically, however, factors such as coupling power losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of fluid viscosity result in higher operational power requirements. Reducing the compression ratio at each stage minimizes these inefficiencies. Consequently, the total power consumption for multi-stage compression is lower than that of single-stage compression.
Our cutting-edge two-stage screw air compressor features a sophisticated twin-stage rotary screw mechanism. This advanced system includes an active screw in each stage driving a passive screw via a robust external power transmission setup. The first stage uses a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage employs a high-pressure screw group. Every screw is encased within a sealing air film. As they rotate, the gas undergoes a tri-phase process: suction, pressurization, and exhaust, ensuring optimal compression efficiency.
First Stage Compression: Equipped with a low-pressure screw group, the initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor compresses the gas efficiently. Gas is drawn into the compression chamber through the suction valve, where the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor compresses it before transferring it to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: Within the second stage screw group, the gas is further compressed in a more confined screw space, reaching higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gases from the system and completing the compression process.
Natural air is initially drawn through the air filter into the first compression stage, where it merges with a small quantity of lubricating oil. This mixture is compressed to an intermediate pressure. Following this, the gas enters a cooling channel, interacting with a substantial amount of oil mist that significantly lowers its temperature. The cooled, compressed gas then advances to the second-stage rotor for final compression to the ultimate exhaust pressure. The process culminates as the fully compressed gas exits the system through the exhaust valve, completing the compression cycle.
