Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum of the power required for multi-stage compression. However, in reality, the actual working power increases due to various factors such as transmission power loss from the coupling, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. Consequently, by reducing the compression ratio for each stage, we can minimize useless power, making the total power required for multi-stage compression less than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor consists of a two-stage rotary screw compressor system. Each stage includes an active and a passive screw. The active screw drives the passive screw through an external power transmission device. The first stage utilizes a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage employs a high-pressure rate screw group. Surrounding each screw is a sealing air film, aiding in the compression process. The gas is compressed through three main stages: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First stage compression: The initial stage of the two-stage screw air compressor utilizes a low-pressure rate screw group, compressing the gas between them. The gas enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve. With the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is steadily compressed and transferred to the second stage.
Second stage compression: In the second stage screw group, gas enters a more confined screw space, experiencing higher temperature and pressure compression. The exhaust valve opens, releasing high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air enters the first stage of compression through the air filter and mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixed gas is simultaneously compressed to the interstage pressure. The compressed gas then enters the cooling channel, encountering a substantial amount of oil mist, which significantly reduces the temperature. The cooled compressed gas moves into the second-stage rotor, undergoes two-stage compression, and is finally compressed to the exhaust pressure. The entire compression cycle concludes with the gas being discharged via the exhaust valve.
