In an optimal air compression scenario, the power needed for one-stage pressure transmission matches the cumulative power for multi-stage compression. However, real-world operations demand more power due to coupling losses, bearing friction, and cooling effects of liquid viscosity. To enhance efficiency, it is vital to minimize each stage's compression ratio, ensuring that the total power for multi-stage compression is lower than that for single-stage compression.
The High Volume Two-Stage Screw Air Compressor features a dual rotary screw system with both active and passive screws. Powered by an external drive, the active screw propels the passive screw. The first stage includes a low-pressure screw assembly, while the second stage houses a high-pressure screw assembly. Each screw is cloaked in a sealing air film, enabling gas compression through a cycle of suction, pressurization, and exhaust as the screws rotate.
First Stage Compression: In this stage, the low-pressure screw assembly begins compressing the gas. The gas enters the screw compression chamber via the suction valve, where the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor further compresses it, transferring the gas to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: Here, the gas enters a more confined screw space, experiencing compression at higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gas from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first stage through an air filter, mixing with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber.
