Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission equals the cumulative power for multi-stage compression. However, in practical applications, the actual power required increases due to factors like coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. To optimize efficiency and reduce wasted power, decreasing the compression ratio at each stage ensures that the total power needed for multi-stage compression is lower than the power required for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor boasts a dual-stage rotary screw mechanism, featuring an active and a passive screw in each stage. The active screw, driven by an external transmission device, propels the passive screw. Initially, a low-pressure rate screw group is employed in the first stage, followed by a high-pressure rate screw group in the second stage. Each screw is enveloped by a sealing air film, guiding the gas through suction, pressurization, and exhaust processes.
First Stage Compression: The gas is initially compressed using a low-pressure rate screw group. Entering the screw compression chamber via the suction valve, the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor further compresses the gas, transferring it to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In this stage, the gas is funneled into a tighter screw space, where it is subjected to higher temperature and pressure. Upon reaching optimal pressure, the exhaust valve opens, releasing the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air is drawn into the first stage through an air filter, where it mixes with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. The gas is compressed to interstage pressure and then cooled in the cooling channel by contact with oil mist, significantly reducing its temperature. The cooled gas then enters the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure, completing the process as the high-pressure gas is discharged through the exhaust valve.
