Working Principle

In an ideal air compression scenario, the power needed for single-stage compression is theoretically equal to that needed for multi-stage compression. However, in practical situations, the working power required increases due to inefficiencies such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and liquid viscosity cooling effects. By lowering the compression ratio at each stage, the total power consumed for multi-stage compression can be significantly less than that for single-stage compression, thus effectively reducing these losses.

Our two-stage screw air compressor is engineered with a dual-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage has an active and a passive screw, with the active screw powering the passive screw via an external power transmission system. The first stage is designed with a low-pressure screw group, while the second stage features a high-pressure screw group. Both screws are enveloped in a sealing air film. As they revolve, the gas undergoes a three-phase cycle of suction, compression, and exhaust.

First Stage Compression: The initial phase utilizes a low-pressure screw group, compressing the gas as it enters the screw compression chamber through the suction valve. Driven by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is progressively compressed and transferred to the second stage.

Second Stage Compression: In this stage, the gas moves into a tighter screw space where it undergoes compression at higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gas from the system.

Natural air is meticulously filtered before entering the first stage of compression, where it blends with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to the interstage pressure. The resulting compressed gas passes through a cooling channel, encountering a substantial oil mist that significantly reduces its temperature. The cooled gas then proceeds to the second-stage rotor, where it is further compressed and ultimately expelled through the exhaust valve, completing the entire compression process.
