In a perfect air compression environment, the power needed for single-stage compression would match the total power for multi-stage compression. However, real-world conditions increase power demand due to inefficiencies like coupling transmission losses, bearing friction, and the cooling effects of liquid viscosity. To enhance efficiency, it is critical to minimize the compression ratio at each stage, ensuring that the total power required for multi-stage compression remains lower than that of single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor features an advanced dual rotary screw system, utilizing both active and passive screws. Powered by an external transmission, the active screw drives the passive screw. The process begins with a low-pressure screw group at the first stage, followed by a high-pressure screw group in the second stage. Each screw is surrounded by a sealing air film, facilitating gas compression through sequential suction, pressurization, and exhaust cycles during rotation.
First Stage Compression: This initial phase involves the low-pressure screw group initiating the gas compression process. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber via the suction valve. The rapid rotation of the screw rotor compresses the gas, efficiently transferring it to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: At this advanced phase, gas enters a more confined screw space, experiencing compression at significantly higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gas from the system.
