Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power needed for single-stage pressure transmission matches the total power required for multi-stage compression. However, in reality, the actual working power increases due to factors such as coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. Therefore, reducing the compression ratio at each stage minimizes useless power, ensuring that the total power for multi-stage compression is less than that for single-stage compression.
Our two-stage screw air compressor features a two-stage rotary screw design, comprising an active and a passive screw in each stage. The active screw drives the passive screw through an external power transmission device. The first stage employs a low-pressure rate screw group, while the second stage utilizes a high-pressure rate screw group. A sealing air film surrounds each screw, ensuring efficient gas compression through three stages: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: In the first stage, the low-pressure rate screw group compresses the gas, drawing it into the screw compression chamber via the suction valve. With the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is gradually compressed and transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: Gas enters the second stage's tighter screw space, where it's compressed at higher temperature and pressure. The exhaust valve then opens to expel the high-pressure gases from the system.
The compression process begins as natural air enters the first stage through an air filter, mixing with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure, then cooled in the cooling channel by contact with oil mist, significantly lowering its temperature. The cooled compressed gas proceeds to the second-stage rotor for additional compression to the final exhaust pressure. The entire process culminates with the gas being discharged through the exhaust valve.
