In the ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage compression equals the sum needed for multi-stage compression. Nevertheless, deviations arise due to factors like coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and liquid viscosity cooling. These elements elevate the actual working power. By distributing the compression ratio across multiple stages, power inefficiencies are curtailed, resulting in the overall power consumption for multi-stage compression being lower than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor exemplifies sophisticated engineering with its two-stage rotary screw mechanism. Each stage is equipped with an active screw, driving a passive screw via an external power transmission system. Initially, a low-pressure screw group manages the first stage, while a high-pressure screw group handles the second stage. Each screw is encased in a sealing air film. As the screws rotate, gas undergoes three key phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust, facilitating highly efficient compression.
First Stage Compression: The initial phase uses a low-pressure screw group to compress the gas. Gas enters the compression chamber through the suction valve and is compressed by the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, after which it is transferred to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second stage, the gas is further compressed within a more confined screw space, reaching higher temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then releases the high-pressure gas from the system, completing the compression cycle.
