Working Principle
In an ideal air compression process, the power required for single-stage pressure transmission equals the sum of the power required for multi-stage compression. However, in reality, the actual working power increases due to various factors such as transmission power loss from the coupling, bearing friction, and the cooling effect of liquid viscosity. Consequently, by reducing the compression ratio for each stage, we can minimize useless power, making the total power required for multi-stage compression less than that for single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor features a sophisticated two-stage rotary screw compressor system. Each stage comprises an active and a passive screw, where the active screw drives the passive screw via an external power transmission device. The initial stage employs a low-pressure screw group, while the subsequent stage utilizes a high-pressure screw group. A sealing air film envelops each screw, enhancing the compression process. Gas compression occurs through three pivotal stages: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: In the initial phase of the two-stage screw air compressor, a low-pressure screw group compresses the gas. The gas enters the screw compression chamber via the suction valve. Through the high-speed rotation of the screw rotor, the gas is steadily compressed and directed to the next stage.
Second Stage Compression: During the second phase, the gas enters a more confined screw space, where it undergoes higher temperature and pressure compression. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gases from the system.
Natural air first enters the initial compression stage through an air filter, mixing with a small amount of lubricating oil within the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure. The compressed gas then flows into the cooling channel, encountering substantial oil mist, which significantly reduces its temperature. Following this cooling process, the gas proceeds to the second-stage rotor for further compression. Finally, the gas reaches the exhaust pressure and is discharged through the exhaust valve, concluding the compression cycle.
