Working Principle
In an ideal air compression scenario, the energy needed for single-stage pressure transmission equates to the combined power for multi-stage compression. However, real-world applications face challenges like coupling transmission power loss, bearing friction, and liquid viscosity cooling effects, which escalate actual working power. To mitigate these, reducing the compression ratio at each stage can significantly lower the overall power requirements for multi-stage compression, making it more efficient than single-stage compression.
The two-stage screw air compressor boasts an advanced two-stage rotary screw system, where each stage includes an active and a passive screw. The active screw propels the passive screw via an external transmission system. The initial stage uses a low-pressure screw configuration, while the second stage employs a high-pressure screw setup. Each screw is encased in a sealing air film. As they rotate, gas undergoes three phases: suction, pressurization, and exhaust.
First Stage Compression: During the initial phase of the two-stage screw air compressor, a low-pressure screw group is employed. Gas is drawn into the screw compression chamber through the suction valve, where it is incrementally compressed by the high-speed rotating screw rotor before being sent to the second stage.
Second Stage Compression: In the second phase, the gas enters a more confined screw space and is subjected to elevated temperatures and pressures. The exhaust valve then opens, releasing the high-pressure gas from the system.
Natural air is initially drawn into the compressor via the air filter and mixed with a small amount of lubricating oil in the compression chamber. This mixture is compressed to interstage pressure. The compressed gas then moves through the cooling channel, encountering significant oil mist, which drastically reduces its temperature. The cooled compressed gas then enters the second-stage rotor for further compression to the final exhaust pressure, culminating with discharge through the exhaust valve.
